Tracy
Battistessa
, Assistant Coach
Tracy
taught swimming for over 10 years, starting with teaching children basic
stroke knowledge from 3 years old and up. Now involved with Master's
coaching, her experience with children often comes in handy. In
addition to teaching she coached the Sierra Marlins, both in the
recreation branch of the organization and the year round clinics. She is
a member of ASCA where she continues her education in stroke work and
keeps current in the developments in swimming.
Tracy has always
been an active athlete competing in tennis, running and triathlons. Her
philosophy about competitive sports is that there are life lessons to be
learned at any level, and that personal growth and individual achievement
is all there is to be attained. When anyone gives 100% personal effort,
they are a success. Her job as a coach is to encourage each swimmer to
set reasonable goals and then GO FOR IT!!!!! In achieving goals, they
learn about themselves along the way.
